Esay 1: Letter to my host family

Hello. I am Haruka. Please call me "Haruka". I am a KGU student from the department of English. What's more, I am a member of the tennis team in the University . I have been playing tennis from when I was eight years old and all of my family plays tennis too. I hope that I can play tennis with your family during my home stay days. Please tell me about your hobby.
I am quite nervous because this is my first trip alone futhermore, this is my first visit to a foreigh country.
I am not good at speaking English but I will do my best and study hard. I want to talk a lot with your family, friends and hear your native pronunciation and learn from it. By the way, what is your favorite Japanese food? I will cook what your request because I am good at cooking. I had gone cooking school for two years. Also, I want to learn about traditional American foods too. So, please teach me about how to cook them. I want to study not only English, but also syudy American culture. How many people are in your family? We are a family of five, my parents, grand father and my young sister. My sister is in Kitakyusyu because her University in there. My family is very closed. Every weekend, we always play tennis and eat dinner together, so I want to be like this with your family.
I will arrive at 8 oc'lock in the airport. I want you to come for me then. I will bring some, so please, if you will, thell me what you want. I am a little nrvous but also excited. Advice to my kouhai

                                                     

I will give you many pieces of advices for writing class. This year, it my third time to take this class.

I don’t know why I was entered this university because I like English but I don’t like English classes for writing, listening and more. But I need to graduate from this university in this year. So, I have to do writing in this class. If there are people with the same thinking, we can encourage each other and work together.

This class requires for us to write a lot of essays, reading books and write a description of our impressions. We have to write a lot of words in half a year. But if you can do writing everyday, you won’t don’t feel it is difficult. You can write about anything in your life. For example, I wrote about my part time job, my family, hobbies. You can write something like your diary in your blog.

If you want to write about your favorite singer and movies, you can write his profile, why you love him and your favorite movie’s story. You can also write why you like your favorite music song, but you should not write the words of a song. That is not counted for the words and in the movie reviews, too. You can’t use translation or copy form other pages either.  Mr. Tomei is very good at searching like this. I can understand you want to use these, but you may be losing his trust. This takes some time. And you have to attend the class. You can take advices from teacher. I didn’t do for two years. I can understand you are very busy and you don’t want to do that but you have to take some time for this class.

 

Now, I am doing job hunting. It is very busier than I imagined. If you want to have it easy in grade three or four, you have to write and write everyday this year.
